F*** Off EA App doesn't work after shutdown of Origin

Checklist

• I ensured I'm running the latest version of the patch, and that the issue is present in it if applicable
• I have read the entirety of the FAQ section in the readme, and my question was not answered there, or was not answered sufficiently
• I have ran general troubleshooting steps (if applicable), such as restarting the PC/reinstalling Origin/whatever else is described in the FAQ, and they didn't help
• I have checked existing issues (including closed ones), and there wasn't an existing issue pertaining to my problem (with possible solutions in the comments)

Your issue

Origin doesn't allow me to login into my current EA account. It has been saying that I need to be online while logging in and entered production mode (R&D) so it means it went completely offline I hope a patch can fix this issue.

I hope so too, also because with EA app when I start my fifa 16 regularly purchased on the store some time ago I get the message:
Fifa 16 is already running but in reality it doesn't start
I've tried everything but I still have this absurd problem

Yeah EA said they would kill origin completely somewhere in april, so this will require an extensive update.

Even if you manage to login, when you try to launch a game you'll see a screen like this which doesn't work at all.

also because using ea app for me it still does not start the game
or telling me the game is already running
or no message appears and does not start the game
So the question is will they do something to make origin work again?

my experience is that while origin has stopped working it does at least continue to validly authenticate the launch of games if i launch them from elsewhere (like a mod manager or the exe itself). i launch the game. origin makes me log in. origin itself is busted and i can't access anything, but the game launches.

so library access now needs to happen via ea app, but if you have launch issues with ea app, origin may still validly authenticate your games even in its current state.

install fuck off ea app. double click the exe of whatever game you want to launch. origin prompt will appear asking you to log in. log in. origin will open (in an offline and busted state). game will also launch.

can't guarantee it'll work for all games, but it works for me, for the ones i currently have installed and need to launch (bioware games mostly).

installa l'app fuck off ea. fai doppio clic sul file exe del gioco che vuoi avviare. apparirà il prompt di Origin che ti chiede di effettuare l'accesso. accedi. Origin si aprirà (in stato offline e bloccato). anche il gioco si avvierà.

Non posso garantire che funzioni per tutti i giochi, ma per me funziona per quelli che ho attualmente installato e che devo avviare (principalmente i giochi BioWare).

Ok but do I uninstall the EA app or can I leave it on the PC? Because I don't want the exe (fifa 16) to open the EA app and not Origin

i was just sharing something that worked for me. i'm not competent to offer you detailed tech support and i don't want to clog the issues thread here. you can have both origin and ea app installed. beyond that, i suggest you experiment yourself. sorry.

Stavo solo condividendo qualcosa che ha funzionato per me. Non sono competente per offrirti un supporto tecnico dettagliato e non voglio intasare la discussione dei problemi qui. Puoi avere installate sia l'app Origin che quella EA. Oltre a questo, ti consiglio di sperimentare tu stesso. Mi dispiace.

Maybe it will load current games but installing new games through Origin library won't be possible, which is the worst part I guess.

when I click on the fifa 16 exe it opens Origin...but when I log in I get the message:
"You must be online the first time you log in"
and then I can't go on..
let's hope that in the future someone will fix this also because customer service hasn't solved my problem with the EA app
