I have edited the inf to add generic device support, remove PnpLockDown configuration, and recreated & resigned the CAT with a vaild digital signature (not self-signing certificate).

that's good.

you need to also edit & sign the HDX_GenericExt_RTK.inf file & add support for DEV_0245 & DEV_0897 for full support for these IDs as well. it's not enough just to sign the generic hdxrt.inf & hdxrtsst.inf files.
