Also facing the same issue even after successfully installed pyswap.

sudo python2.7 setup.py install
running install
running build
running build_py
running install_lib
running install_egg_info
Removing /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/pyswap-0.1.2.egg-info
Writing /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/pyswap-0.1.2.egg-info

After doing installation I am getting this message.

 python2.7 lagarto.py 
lagarto version 2.4 (Jan 28, 2015)
Running lagarto-swap
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "lagarto-swap/lagarto-swap.py", line 30, in <module>
    from swap.SwapException import SwapException
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'swap'

---SOLUTION---
Pyswap can be installed manually using pip inside your current virtual environment.

cd into python-tools/pyswap
run pip install .

it worked for me
