Trademarks and Political Identity

The repository content is licensed under the MIT License, but that license does not grant trademark, trade name, logo, slogan, or endorsement rights.

Reserved identifiers

The following identifiers are reserved to the project maintainers unless they are explicitly re-licensed in writing:

  • Peoples Potato Party of Canada
  • PPPC
  • repository-specific logos, wordmarks, campaign graphics, and slogans
  • any visual identity that would reasonably suggest official status

What forks and reusers may do

  • Fork, copy, and adapt the repository under the MIT License.
  • Refer to the original project by name for factual or nominative purposes.
  • State that a project is derived from or compatible with this repository.

What forks and reusers may not do

  • Present a fork as the official PPPC repository.
  • Use the PPPC name, logos, or branding in a way that implies endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or electoral authorization.
  • Reuse party identity assets without clearly rebranding the derivative work.

Practical rule

If you fork this repository for a new movement, instance, or experiment, keep the code and documents if you want, but change the political branding unless you are maintaining the original project.
