The defaults of the Beamer inspired themes have font sizes that might be hard to follow and encourage information overload -- often more of a reading experience than attending a talk experience. What's the recommended way to increase font sizes, keeping all the proportions as-is? |

I 100% agree with this! This is a pitfall that Slipshow almost encourages... I'll need to mitigate this at some point...
I think adding the following somewhere in your markdown input should do it: <style>
