Rendering with a sample rate that deviates too much from 44,100 corrupts the audio stream #2

Description

Render a song like Poseidon with a sample rate of 8,000 and all of the instrument effects will have been crushed away. It doesn't sound the same as rendering at 44,100 Hz and then resampling to 8,000 Hz. The result of both processes should be identical.

A similar problem occurs when the sampling rate is very high, like 96,000 Hz. It starts out sounding REALLY nice, and 2 seconds in the waveforms completely collapse to silence.
