Problem while importing plateflex

After successful installation of PlateFlex when I tried importing plateflex by command import plateflex, it showed an error saying arviz has no module geweke. After searching on google related to this issue, I got to know that downgrading arviz version may be a solution but had no luck with that. A new error came saying "no module name plateflex.flex". At this point I am confused what to do.
I am currently using:
Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS
python: 3.8.15
gcc: 10.0.4

Hi - It's unclear to me where this error is coming from. What is the version of PyMC3 installed in your environment? You should have pymc3==3.10 for PlateFlex to work properly. Can you show the result of conda list?

Hi - Thank you for your quick response. Please have a look at the attached file. As per the instructions given I have installed pymc3==3.10. Though it was showing the same error.

I can see that your package arviz has version 0.11.0 whereas mine has version 0.11.1. Also, it looks like you installed it from Pypi (i.e., using pip install arviz), whereas I installed mine using conda from the conda-forge channel. It also looks like you installed both pymc3 and plateflex from Pypi.

I recommend you install everything using conda with the conda-forge channel.

Can you try deleting your pflex environment and re-installing everything from scratch using these package versions?

conda create -n pflex python=3.8 fortran-compiler=1.2.1 numpy=1.21.2 pymc3=3.10.0 matplotlib=3.4.3 seaborn=0.11.2 scikit-image=0.18.3 pandas=1.3.2 -c conda-forge
conda activate pflex

then

git clone https://github.com/paudetseis/PlateFlex.git
cd PlateFlex
pip install .

Sir, the given version of the fortran-compliler (1.2.1) is not available. Could you please let me know how should I proceed further.

Sorry, it should be 1.2.0 to match the one I have in my environment. But I think this one is not so critical - you could perhaps avoid specifying the version number and get the latest version.

Sir, as suggested, I changed fortran compiler version to 1.2.0 and I also tried by not specifying any version. In both the situation conda was not able to create environment saying incompatible dependencies (screenshot, Ubuntu file attached). Further, I also tried installing plateflex in macos. In macos, conda was able to create pflex environment and plateflex successfully installed. But while importing plateflex, it also shown error (Macos file).

HI anirban, I am also getting the same error that you are getting in Macos.
Have you found the solution to it?

Recently, I have been working on another project. It is very difficult for me to recall those steps. You can go as directed by Dr Pascal and use the updated version; your problem will definitely be solved. Thank you
