usb volume control as VFO control

Have sdrberry working fine but don't seem to be able to get a cheap usb volume control to work as vfo control, has anyone had success with this upgrade?

I just tested volume device and it works fine for me. Best to set the Steps to 100Hz otherwise the changes are to small.
If it does not work for you you should check how the device identifies and which HID codes it send.

Remember the Contour Shuttle Express does work stock. I got mine used on ebay for $40 US.

I have to make a small update to support different volume devices. It seems they have different identification codes.
I can make it configurable. Please share the output of:

In my case Bus 001 Device 008: ID 413d:553a is the volume device. But it will be different for your device.
I can make it configurable.

Yes, I just updated sdrberry code so you can configure the device.
Add to sdrberry_config.cfg in the input section:

[input]
hiddevice = "e5b7:0811"

And install the latest version by upgrading sdrberry

cd sdrberry
git pull
cd build
cmake ..
make -j4
sudo make install

I have upgraded as suggested. also made amendments to the input address for my control, but no luck, never mind I now have a Shuttle express which is working fine, will consign the volume control back to PC duty where it works fine.
