<p>As winter temperatures in Sonipat, Haryana dropped to single digits, Pawsitive organized a Blanket Drive to help campus dogs withstand the cold. Through this initiative, warm blankets were distributed across the campus to provide the dogs with protection and comfort during the harsh winter nights.</p>
<p>To improve the safety of the campus dogs, Pawsitive organized a Reflective Collar Drive, through which reflective collars were fitted on dogs across the campus. These collars increase the dogs' visibility to drivers at night and in low-light conditions, significantly reducing their susceptibility to vehicular accidents.</p>
<p>Pawsitive conducts daily feeding drives to ensure that the campus dogs are consistently provided with nutritious meals. The dogs are fed twice a day, once in the afternoon and again at night, by trained members of the club. The food distributed during these drives primarily consists of leftover meals from Ashoka University's dining facilities, allowing the club to reduce food wastage while ensuring that the dogs do not go hungry. These meals typically include items such as rice, roti, dal, chicken, and eggs, providing the dogs with a balanced and reliable source of nourishment.</p>
<p>Pawsitive regularly organizes sterilization drives to support the long-term health and wellbeing of the campus dogs while also promoting responsible population management. Sterilization refers to neutering (for male dogs) and spaying (for female dogs) — veterinary procedures that prevent dogs from reproducing. For dogs living on the streets, sterilization plays a crucial role in reducing uncontrolled population growth, which in turn decreases competition for food, territory, and shelter.</p>
