Klipper failed to start

Getting following error on the first boot after firmware install - "Kilipper failed to start ".

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Usually it is due to users that installed some additional modules that do break. Like ACE. Can you show your klippy log? .

Wouldn’t a fresh firmware installation overwrite any previously installed modules, if there were any?

If you configured them in extended folders then, not.

And this is exactly the case in your case. You custom installed ace module, configured and flashed new firmware. The ace config is there, but not module.

You were right — the Ace.cfg file was still there. I had assumed the entire previous installation would be removed.

I manually removed the file and rebooted the printer, and Klipper loaded straight away.

Keep in mind that flashing new custom firmware will drop all your previous mods, in this case all you need to do - just reinstall ACE Pro files after U1 update.
