How migration works in payload? Does it automatically connect with collection? There's a bit info about migration in docs and no one discuss about it.

Does it automatically connect with collection

Migrations work quite a bit different between postgres and mongodb. In Postgres we use the payload config to create the drizzle schema on start. In MongoDB this happens also but you your collections are made for you and indexes are created on payload start.

To access your data you need to make use of the payload.db API instead of the local api in order to access data in places that are no longer in the schema or mongoDB models.
