Describe the bug

I am using the com.paypal.android:paypal-web-payments 2.3.0 in the Sandbox box environment. Keeping the same clientId, environment as Sandbox and same schema, I was able to successfully make payment about twice but now I keep getting error on the webview as "We're sorry, it seems that something went wrong". It shows after login where the "Continue" button shows beliefly then the error. It has been very consistent now

To reproduce

Not sure what has changed but it worked for me twice or so but now consistently encountering that error

Expected behavior

Payment should gone through like previous times

Hi @saintjab thanks for using our SDK. Can you share more about the consistency of this bug? Are the steps to reproduce to "make a payment three times" before observing the error? Also are you creating a new order each time you make a payment? Can you share the format of your PayPalWebCheckoutRequest. You can use placeholder strings for things like orderId if necessary.

Hi @sshropshire, unfortunately there is no clear route to reproduce this and I am not sure if it just coincident that the first two times worked. I am just now consistently getting same issue. This is how I am implementing the flow:
On the PP button click I make call to get the orderId and on success response, I create the checkout request as below:

After receiving the orderId from my server, I am taken to the account login screen where am able to login successfully but then it just move to the screen attached. I am always see the log: "Success PayPalPresentAuthChallenge". Can you think of anything I may be doing wrong? I also have these in my singleTask launchMode activity

None of the checkoutResult get called when that screen shows, not even the PayPalWebCheckoutFinishStartResult.Failure so not able to know exactly what went wrong. Sorry about the code formatting, I have tried editing number of times to get it right but still breaking

Hi @saintjab apologies for the delay. Have you been able to make progress? I'm not sure what could be causing the WebView error message, but judging from the screenshot handlePayPalIntent() will never be called because your app hasn't re-entered the foreground.

I would double check the PayPal developer console to make sure everything's configured as you expect. Also I'd attach the Chrome custom tab to Chrome's developer tools to see if the Javascript console has more information on the cause of failure.
