As the subject mentioned: is pool-4 necessary or should running with 4.8-pool-3 be still ok (both my servers have a score of -100 for both, IPv4 and IPv6 and run 4.8-pool-3)? If 4.8-pool-4 is necessary: will it work without getdns compiled in? I do run the servers on OpenBSD and NetBSD and both OS lack getdns support. It will take some time to get getdns support for one or both OS'. |

Hi, https://experimental.ntspooltest.org/ is broken at the moment. I've been told it's going to be fixed later this week. 4.8-pool-4 is only needed when you want an NTP client with SRV support, so that is unrelated to the -100 scores that everyone is experiencing at the moment. Furthermore, the software is buggy and of little use. Regards, Marco (not representing the Pendulum-project, but merely another user running into the same problems as you). |

For those tuning in later: previous bugs are fixed in a new release of: Chrony 4.8-pool-5. |
