Other DB operators like the MongoDB Operator or CNPG provide full connection strings whilst percona just provides username/password
Use-Case
Connection strings can be complicated, depending on what configuration you have, providing a built-in one can ensure to always use the correct configuration (like using mongodb+srv://), also a lot of applications already accept those strings to simplify configuration
