Work with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Chat, and NotebookLM from an Obsidian workspace.
- Browse, search, create, rename, upload, and trash Google Drive files.
- Open Google Docs and Sheets in dedicated workspace views.
- Read and send Google Chat messages.
- Open NotebookLM in a desktop workspace view.
- See recent Drive files in a workspace hub.
This desktop-only plugin requires:
- A Google account.
- A Google Cloud project with the Drive, Chat, and People APIs enabled.
- OAuth 2.0 desktop-app credentials supplied by the user.
Enter the OAuth client ID and client secret under Settings → Google Workspace, then select Sign in with Google.
The plugin connects directly to Google OAuth and the Google Drive, Chat, and People APIs. The embedded NotebookLM view connects to notebooklm.google.com. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored locally using Obsidian's plugin data storage. The plugin contains no telemetry, advertising, or third-party analytics.
The Drive features can create, rename, upload, and move files to Google Drive trash only when the user invokes those actions.
