Nope, for that you would need a WebDav server at that http://... adress, Wopi is only for the Web based Office editors.

Nope, its possile with wopi but it requires a cloud sync root that implements a COM object to negotiate the escalation to wopi

The official way to do it is via Microsoft's "cloud partner plus program" there's some doco available but without being part of that program (which is basically only for multinational corporations with a 500k joining fee) you need to reverse engineer the way others have done it...

If you open Word and click save you will see a menu about "add a place" which lists the various vendors which are cppp members - each of these "places" are actually just WOPI servers

You can get full coauthoring and auto saving this way

I am still trying to work out how to trick office into letting me just do it via cobalt like OneDrive...

Also on reflection I think you may be able to do it without the client side cloud sync component, I recall some mention about editing given only a URL, I'll have to check more on Monday
