When creating a subcircuit, the position and direction of the labeled nodes determines where and on which side they appear when creating a subcircuit. You can move them around, but the initial height cannot be made smaller, if you move pins from side to top or bottom. You can reduced the width if you move pins from top/bottom to the sides.
Please allow changing height too.
