Pencil tool isn't drawing at mouse cursor location

I hope this image is enough to understand the problem. Drawing is not happening where it is supposed to be.

I don't have an answer for you other than this might be a bug.

I have not seen any issues with the pencil tool properly tracking the mouse cursor. Do you have the zoom level set to something other than 100% by any chance? Have you cropped the image before drawing with the pencil tool? Would it be possible for you to create a screen capture of the issue and post that to the issue?

Installed from Ubuntu PPA. I'm not at desk now, so can't check version at the moment. Assume latest in the PPA.
