Unreadable file names by default

Filenames are very hard to read with the default Minder UI theme, and I can't figure out a reliable way to use a system-wide theme. It worked once (the first time I ran beta1), but I don't know what I did.

Maybe some of the components I have on Fedora 42 are outdated? How can I help you solve this? What information do you need?

Are you building and running the application using the './app run' or './app install' commands or are you building a flatpak from source and running with that? I'm wondering what versions of the libgtk-4-dev and libgranite-7-dev packages that you have installed.

It looks like gnome desktops are now forcing apps to use the system dark mode settings whether they "support" them or not. In Minder's case, it is designed to ignore the system setting and base its dark mode on the mind map theme dark mode setting instead. So in your case, Minder isn't updating itself to its dark mode setting which makes portions of the UI hard to read.

I could solve this one of two ways.

1. In the Minder .desktop file, enable a setting which will override the system setting, essentially making Minder work like it always has.

OR

2. Make Minder respond to system setting changes and essentially ignore the mind map theme value.

Which solution would you prefer to see happen? I'm leaning on number 1 since it makes things behave as they always have with Minder specifically, but open to feedback on this one.

I have opted to retain Minder's previous handling of system-wide dark mode setting. This issue should be fixed in the beta branch and will be available in 2.0.0-beta2.
