PHP 5.0/5.1 support

A few notes to consider regarding these old PHP versions:
- New/current (version?) Curl versions do not compile with PHP 5.0 and 5.1
- They require flex and bison 
- Many other issues no doubt

Others? Options include adjusting the per-version configure and checking for the binaries.
