dmenu Output when no item is selected.

I might just be stupid but I don't think there is a way that tofi will output to stdout what was searched if there is no match. If there is please help me otherwise will there be an addition to get this.

The following script is from Bread which I am trying to edit to use tofi on wayland. I have got everything working except for making a new notes file with the searched output if there are no mathces.

I've run into this before. For some reason, --require-match false, when passed, allows the typed input to be directly output if there are no matches, as you described. Gl to you and anyone else who finds this
