vaft userscript in violentmonkey with brave decode error 3000

i am using violentmonkey with the vaft userscript on Brave
everytime a add starts i get an error message that the video cant be decoded, is there any workaround for this?

Are you able to screenshot? Do you have multiple scripts installed like vaft and video-swapnew`? Make sure only one is enabled at a time.

Is this happening on all streams or just streams which are 2K/4K (1440p/2160p)? 2K/4K streams currently break the stream as the ad block solution doesn't handle them properly (but I think it always gives error 4000).

I'm having trouble getting error 3000. Is there anything special about your system, like low RAM? Which OS?

In some more testing I was able to get error 3000 with 2k/4k so I'll assume this is a 2k/4k issue. The latest versions of the script 598cfb2 should fix this. Ref #451

my report was for 1080p, but will test the latest version and will report if it still happens

Okay I'll reopen this then. I've only been able to produce error 3000 with 2k/4k streams and under extreme resource consumption scenarios. In the latter it didn't matter if the script was enabled or not, all streams resulted in error 3000. This was the console log in that case:

Does error 3000 happen to you every time ads occur? Or only sometimes? All streams, or certain streams? If certain streams, what are the channel names? Can you check the console log when error 3000 occurs.

For me it's happening on every stream when ever ads are active, after the ads finish you can click the reload button and it works again

Can you paste the console log when it errors. There should be a red error message in the console when it happens.

looks like its fixed aswell
but as of today some ads coming through, maybe twitch did change something

It sounds like something is crashing the hardware video decoder. You could try disabling hardware video decoding. There's nothing else I can suggest beyond that.
