Static links to Snapshots not working

Thank you so much for this!

I am using it to archive or backup collections I no longer need to keep in my Zotero Library and have been able to export a specific collection to a static site, including all attachments (it appears).

As I navigate the static site though, the pdf attachments appear inline but the links to snapshots appear to be 'dead', resulting in just a blank page.

Would you be able to maybe assist me in determining whether I have missed something and not executed the export correctly or what else it might be?

Hi @D00dl3s,

Correct, the tool currently does not render snapshots like the Zotero app. However, you can click one node "higher" (closer to the root" in the left navigation pane to, in your example Connecting to City Server,..., and the table view should have a URL field with the a hyperlink to where the snapshot lives on the web. See the online demo for an example of this.

Common sense would dictate that it renders as you expect. This actually wouldn't be that hard to implement as say an iframe in the javascript since the database does have the downloaded contents of the website in the Zotero database. However, that is not implemented yet, but I'd be more than happy to review a pull request if you'd like to implement it.

Thank you so much, I understand. The table view does have the url field with the web hyperlink.

I would really appreciate it if I could implement it :) The snapshots I make are very much an archive, as websites change the original url's often break or disappear, which is the case for most of the snapshots I happen to have in this particular collection.

Even if I could somehow associate the snapshots in storage with the links (parent) would be helpful, but the individual filenames are indiscernable (config file_mapping = item). Clicking the individual snapshots directly in Windows File Explorer does correclty render them in my browser.

Thank you again for this amazing tool! I was very concerned when I realized I might not be able to export my library collections in a file format that wasn't tied to a specific program or proprietary format.

@D00dl3s You make good points. I do think rendering the snapshot would be useful and I don't think it would take much effort. I don't have time right now, but I'll reopen the issue and mark it as an enhancement.
