Need copy for why & why not a directory user might or might not create an account

At this juncture there's no compelling reason a general member of the public should have an account on the system. They can freely search for co-ops and get statistics about the ecosystem without having an account.

Accounts are for individuals that want to be seen as part of the ecosystem, those who manage data for an organization that's part of the ecosystem, and administrators of the MDI.

There should be text to this effect, with translations, on the account creation/signup page.

I like the brevity of the explanation @erictheise.

One minor tweak:
"Accounts on the Directory are intended for people working in the Platform Co-operative ecosystem..."

Instead of "people", perhaps "those" or "parties" (although "parties" may sound too formal).
