Remove blocks from navroot expander

This is mostly a discussion at this time.

Should we remove the blocks from the navroot expander?
They bloat the response quite a bit for finished projects that have multiple blocks in the homepage and I'm not sure it's worth to have the blocks there, it's probably not.

I would be in favor of removing them, even though it would be a breaking change. It was an accident that they were included.
