Syntax highlighting in Jupyter notebook in VS Code / Cursor

Are there plans or ways to enable SQL syntax highlighting when using .ipynb files inside of VS code/Cursor?

Functionally the SQL execution works well, but without the syntax highlighting the code is hard to read/scan. I realize that in a standard Jupyter notebook there is support for syntax highlighting; however, working inside of VS code/Cursor comes with many additional benefits. So, having both would be a real boost to the experience.

Hi. Since JupySQL works on a basis of Jupyter notebook magics I'm not sure it can modify syntax highlight in VS Code (but I might be wrong here).

However, I've managed to get syntax highlight in VS Code. It is rather simple setup (although autocomplete of database objects doesn't always work). I've described it on my blog https://kpatucha.github.io/posts/JupySQL/.
