In Google Calendar, it is possible to edit a single instance of a recurring event. The modified event should be replacing the version expanded from the recurrence rule. Currently the version from the recurrence rule shows up too. For example, from this mail:

Time: 18:00 - 20:00
- Tue 21 April 2026 - Committee Meeting On-line [ Calendar ]
Time: 19:30 - 20:30
Location: online
This second event should have been suppressed from the mail out.
