Weekly update is failing with error related to token

The error occurs during the npm-publish step.
Error: Error: Input required and not supplied: token

This error started happening in the weekly update about a month ago and has persisted since then. Since there have been no code changes to this repo for several months, it seems likely that the problem is a change to a dependency (e.g. something related to how the GitHub action or this particular step works) or perhaps an expired token.
