Pytests hanging at 98%, tried with multiple processors

pytest consistently hangs at ~98% completion and never exits. It reaches 65% quite quickly, but then gets slow right after. This occurs both in serial and parallel runs (xdist). The process remains alive with no further output or progress.

Also, tests/test_trainer.py has 3 items, but it takes about 30 minutes to complete. Is this normal?

My environment:

• Python 3.12.3
• Linux-6.6.87.2-microsoft-standard-WSL2-x86_64-with-glibc2.39
• pytest 9.0.2
