VDS Operationalization and collection on-boarding PI 26.2

Objective to be consolidated with PDE. Candidates are:

• Add request header and monitor it in metrics.earthdata.nasa.gov
• Decide if we should keep going with kerchunk configurations and operationalize more dataset using this technology
• Meet with Development seed to understand their VDS update workflow
• Operationalize IceChunck v2 with forward processing (using a cumulus message queue)
• Identify a list of PODAAC dataset to be VDS-ized
• Propose the VDS-ization service to other DAACs
• Advocate for the PODAAC solution at ESDIS level, contribute to the enterprise design, share our experience in the VDS Tuesday meeting
