Run `go fix` against Mac specific portions of the project using MacOS hosts

Most of our development is still done using Linux, so we might be missing some opportunity for code improvements (particularly in pkg/machine). This issue covers running go fix against pkg/machine and all its subdirectories using both a Windows and Mac machine.

I ran go fix ./... on a macOS host, but it didn't produce any changes. It seems the Mac-specific code is already up-to-date!
