Some programs would prefer that texters answer all of their replies before requesting new texts, but there is no way to enforce this.
Describe the solution you'd like
From Assignment Control, allow admins to toggle a restriction that would prevent texters from requesting another assignment before tending to all of their replies.
When the restriction is toggled on and a texter has conversations with status needsResponse, Texter should display an unclickable button like, "Answer your replies before requesting more texts!" in place of the Request More Texts button.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The restriction could be toggled from Settings instead to indicate a more permanent, organization-wide preference.
The restriction could be toggled from Teams and applied to some teams but not others.
Additional context
If this is implemented, texters could still:
- Send initials and receive replies
- Click "Reassign my replies" to wipe their current conversations with status needsResponse
- Request another assignment
