Drag/Drop thunderlinnk

First of all my utmost appreciation for a piece of software that I use daily !

I was wondering if it would be possible to change the drag/drop behaviour of thunderbird such that drops - external to thunderbird - are dropped as thunderlinks ?

I have no clue. It might well be possible but I'm not really developing the app any further at the moment so I won't take the time to look at it. maybe someone who forked it would be interested in looking into that feature
