Related to #1226, a feature I strongly miss from Gnome is the ability to switch between open windows by scrolling the icon in the App Tray.
This was something you could enable in Ubuntu's dash-to-dock.
In the best case, move+scroll is two fewer interactions than move+click+locate+move+click. In the worst case, it's essentially the same interaction cost (scrolling several times to find the window you want).
