Decoding error "premature end of image" on the same wallpaper I used to use

Trying to set my wallpaper back to how it weas before the upgrade, only for it to fail with no error box in the gui. Had to open the settings again form the terminal and found error ERROR image decode failed, path: "/home/me/Pictures/waplaper.jpg", why: Decoding(DecodingError { format: Exact(Jpeg), underlying: Some("Premature End of image") }). The regular image viewer displays it perfectly fine.
