Missing features after several months of use.

I have used Cosmic in the last months as my daily driver and I like it a lot. There are a few features that I am missing though. I don't like to leave my keyboard and am always slightly annoyed when I have to use the mouse, especially for a single click. The following points would make some of those go away. I also added a few other things that would improve the overall experience for me.

• A shortcut to hide/unhide the panel
• Shortcuts to open the applets in the panel, e.g. if I only want to quickly check what's in the notification applet, check the battery charge level or if the month has 30 or 31 days.
• If I could somehow select the files/folder in COSMIC files without using the mouse, e.g. using ctrl+j/k or so to move up and down the list.
• I mentioned it earlier, but a workspace grid would be great and would significantly reduce workspace jumping and figuring out on which workspace what is.
• In a multi-monitor setup, it would be great to have the option to not have workspaces numbered per screen, but as one pool. For example, workspaces 1, 2, 5 are on screen one and workspaces 3, 4, 6 on screen two. I had this setup in sway and it made it really efficient to jump between workspaces. Naturally, the workspaces should be moveable between the screens.
• Since I regularly switch between keyboard layouts (mostly between english and german) it would be helpful if the login screen would show the currently active layout. It often happens that I have to type my password a couple of times, since not the layout I assumed is active.
• It would be great if we could turn off animations, especially when switching workspaces.
