Currently when Desktop>Appearance>Icon and toolkit theming>Apply current theme to GNOME apps is enabled, font settings aren't applied to gnome apps. A quick solution to this is to call gsettings on font change.
Atm someone would have to use gnome-tweaks or call gsettings set xx
