[Bug] Unexpected workspace change when changing screens and workspaces

Description of the bug:
Changing screens after navigating to a different workspace with super+[direction] results in an unanimated change back to the initial workspace. I suspect this is an issue with the implementation of the Workspaces span displays setting because this is the expected behavior in the other option: Displays have separate workspaces.

To Reproduce

• Configure workspaces settings:
  • Multi-monitor behavior: Workspaces span displays
  • Workspaces orientation: opposite your monitor layout (e.g. side-by-side monitors -> vertical)
• Using super+[direction], navigate to a different workspace
• While still holding super, press a perpendicular direction to change focus to a different screen.
• The focus moves to the other screen, but on the initial workspace. This workspace change does not have an animation.

Expected behavior
The workspace should not be reverted to the initial workspace when navigating across screens.

Workaround
Re-pressing super between the workspace change and the screen change does not change the view to the original workspace.
