Pop!_Shop is making my CPU go crazy

Pop!_Shop running on Pop!_OS 18.04 is showing an odd behaviour lately, demanding a lot of CPU power while running in background (I've only noticed it bc the system hanged twice while I was watching an youtube video). Fresh install, updated this morning e running for about 3-4 hours.

I've submitted this issue to elementary github page as well (elementary/appcenter#693). Let me know if you guys have any difficulties to reproduce this behaviour.

@brs17 can you test this to see if it's reproducible? I'd guess it's caused by pop-os/shop#68, but I'm not sure. I haven't seen it first-hand.
