Computer unable to respond if idle too long (not suspending)

recurring issue with my PC where if it idles long enough to turn the screens off, the computer is unable to "wake" back up when i move the mouse. The screens stay off.

I do no have suspend after X minutes/hours enabled. The fans are still running, the status lights are on. But i cannot use the computer again unless i hard power off and turn it back on.

PC is Ryzen 5700x3d, radeon 5700xt, pop os 24.04.

Same thing is happening to me on fresh install. This happens with or without suspending. I also noticed, that after resetting PC, power mode was automatically reset to balanced instead of high performance.

i7-11700K, RTX 3080Ti, pop!_os 24.04
