Issue/Bug Description:
I set a new keyboard shortcut for view split left and view split right, it works for a while. Randomly, one of them will just stop working and I have to reset it.

Steps to reproduce (if you know):
Set the shortcut and go about your business, sometimes it happens after rebooting.

Expected behavior:
Keyboard shortcut that is set triggers the corresponding action
