Trying to activate the file picker CRASHES the screen recording and the file picker doesn't appear when it needs to, but it appears at least after 2 times the app tries to activate it

As the title says

1 trying to activate the COSMIC file picker crashes the recording

2 the ficle picker doesn't appear the first time I click something that should activate it, and I need to do that at least twice before the file picker pops up, this seems to be a recent regression, and also I can't properly record it as trying to activate the file picker makes the recording crash.

now it takes three clicks to open the file picker after you open it the first time

idk how this bug didn't get any attention from people or from the devs, it literally happens all the time
