Problems with comments being accepted

I tried commenting on your post where you announce the epoch social commenting plugin via Facebook.
I successfully logged in via facebook but every time I tried to comment I was told: Your comment was not accepted, please check that everything is filled out correctly.

So I gave up and scrolled back up where I was then greeted by your pop-over saying thanks for my comment?

So what happened here?

@erscampbell can you reproduce in any of our environments?

@Vernal I tested it on fresh with no problems.

Then I tested it on gopostmatic.com and I ran into the same problem as Ovidiu - comment doesn't post, subscription popup appears with a thank you for commenting. Perhaps it's a problem unique to our website?

It's probably related to ssl and/or issue #53
