On/Off Switch for Rednet Energy Cables?

So I know that the whole deal with rednet cables is that they move a redstone signal along, but in my time with the MFR mod, I've come to use RECs as my main way of transferring power. They convert pretty much everything, aren't lossy, and are reasonably easy to make. Probably the one issue I've noticed is that there doesn't seem to be a way to switch the power cables on or off. If this isn't what you guys want for the mod, that's fine, I thought I'd just make the suggestion. Thanks!
