USB Disconnect

I am connecting to the Developer tag via micro-USB and running python to do some ranging. I am able to successfully range, but I am randomly getting an issue where the connection to the tag appears to be failing. I am able to successfully call doRanging() and getWhoAmI(), but after some time the tag appears to disconnect and both methods consistently fail. When this happens, the tag will be unresponsive until I unplug and re-plug the USB cable. I can confirm that the tag is still on when the issue happens (as the LEDs are still lit). Any thoughts?

Following - This behavior is also being discovered by us. ttyACM0 is lost randomly unless plug-cycle the device. We have the device deployed remotely and this is very frustrating because nobody has physical access to it.

@hegxiten we found that it had to do with the high gain setting resulting in too much power being drawn for the USB driver. Lowering the gain seemed to help reduce the frequency of this occurrence.

@Tal-Bass Thanks a lot for the quick reply. We plan to set up per-port-power-control USB hubs to enable remote USB reset. We observe that once the USB is down, it cannot be recovered unless physically plug-cycle it. Which is really painful to do when deployed. Do you have any thoughts on better solutions (when it happens again?)
