Bug description
On the same Windows PC, same lazer version, same session, same settings, mouse movement in osu!lazer feels dramatically different between two mice — while MouseTester confirms both mice produce near-identical HID report quality. osu! stable does not exhibit the difference; both mice feel normal on stable.
- Asus ROG Keris P509 (wired) — sluggish / unplayable in lazer, normal on stable.
- Razer DeathAdder V2 (wired) — normal on both.
Hardware evidence (MouseTester, both @ 800 CPI)

The Keris polls slightly cleaner than the DeathAdder on every metric. xCount-over-time plots for both mice are visually indistinguishable in quality. Both are wired, plugged into rear-panel USB 3.0, factory-reset, no mouse-vendor software installed.
Steps to reproduce
- Launch osu!lazer with the Keris P509 connected. Cursor feel is sluggish/unresponsive in gameplay.
- Hot-swap to the DeathAdder V2 without restarting lazer. Cursor feel is normal.
- Repeat in osu! stable — no difference between the two mice.
Troubleshooting already attempted
None of the following changed the behavior:
- Mouse polling 1000 Hz / keyboard 500 Hz
- Borderless and exclusive fullscreen
- Frame limiter: 8x refresh and unlimited
- All renderers (Direct3D 11 / Direct3D 11 Experimental / OpenGL / Vulkan Experimental)
- Single-thread and multi-thread execution
- Raw Input toggle on/off
- V-Sync on/off, NVIDIA Control Panel settings forced off
- High priority in Task Manager
- ASUS ROG Keris factory reset
- FPS is stable throughout; no overlays running (RTSS / Afterburner / GFE / Discord / Steam all off)
System info
- osu!lazer version: 2026.406.0 (.NET 8.0.16)
- OS: Windows 10, build 19045 (22H2)
- CPU: 16 cores
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
- NVIDIA driver: 591.86 (WHQL, Jan 2026)
- Renderer in logs: Direct3D 11, MultiThreaded
- Display: 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz (generic 60 Hz panel)
- Affected mouse: Asus ROG Keris P509 (wired, 800 CPI)
- Unaffected mouse: Razer DeathAdder V2 (wired, 800 CPI)
i cant explain what feels off, it just feels sluggish on the new mouse compared to stable, its preventing me from moving to lazer, i would love any help diagnosing this, ive seen different issues with simillar issues but the answer was "borderless" which ive tried and doesnt help,
(yes this is mostly AI generated but you're talking to a real human lol, i just needed help putting it into words and diagnosing, to no avail, plz help <3)
attached logs and mouse tests in poll rates and movement, nothing seems off, its only in lazer, not in any other game
