I would like to offer a central point to share all our sounds and performances. Please feel encouraged to upload your performance here.
I link every file you send in here as soon as possible in this first post.

@BobanSpasic put a lot of work and skill into converting the original Yamaha Performances.
The performances are available in miniDexed format and can be downloaded here: https://github.com/BobanSpasic/MDX_Vault

When loading new performances, always be careful not to overwrite your own data.
I proceed as follows: First, I rename the "performance" folder on the SD card and then import the new sounds into a new "performance" folder, then I copy and sort the "good" new sounds into the old folder and rename them again.
@BobanSpasic has developed a nice little tool for the miniDexed. MDX_PerformanceManager allows you to conveniently copy, rename and sort the performances.

At this point, I am starting to wonder whether one could make a VST that would run multiple Dexed instances plus the effects inside a DAW, so that we could use the same Performances there (pluginguru's Unify is somewhat going in this direction).

It would be nice to also be able to load eight Dexeds into e.g. Carla and be able to convert performances between this and MiniDexed. Could make making patches a bit easier.

New performances don't fit to older Minidexed... I had to upgrade - something changed in the format?

Very strange, it's the same format.
@pik33 do none of the performances work or just the new ones not?
Can anyone confirm if the sounds work for them?

Each Performance.ini has 224 lines.

Older performances worked, the newest ones were invisible or unloadable with strange side effects (blanking the LCD).

To check what's wrong I deleted all preformances and put only Eurodance on the SD card and MiniDexed didn't see it at all.

Reformatting the SD didn't change anything. Upgrading MiniDexed solved the problem, now all performances are visible and working.

My Minidexed was the first version that works with Novation Impulse.

On which RP Model is your miniDexed running?

An older version miniDexed_2022-11-25-961f76c also plays the latest performances.

It seems somehing was wrong with my previous installation.

I ported the Yamaha TX816 Factory Performances to our miniDexed. The sounds are not edited nor adjusted (only a little bit Reverb)

The Performance 24 - 32 are Multichannel and use Midi Channel 1 - 4

All the modulations are missing from the TX816 performances and are more important than I assumed, you never stop learning.
The sounds should be revised again with the help of the "Yamaha TX816 Performance Notes". However, the split points are described incorrectly in the document or I don't understand it correctly.
These performances still need some revision and love.

I guess that the insert operation will bring some extra wishes (use cases), but we will see after you test it.

I like the side by side panels. The set paths remain after a restart, nice. The program works fast and the performances all still work.
I noticed the following things:

• Unfortunately, the two panels jump to the top with every operation.
• copy (left mouse button) is also executed as a move (right mouse button). ... I realized that I can copy with the shift key + left mouse button.
• It would be great if you could move whole blocks.

Jumping to the top - I'll correct this.
Just mouse buttons (left or right) are the EXCHANGE operation. In combinations with Shift or Ctrl buttons, left becomes Copy and the right one becomes Move.
So, the mouse buttons decide what happens with the source file (copy or move), and the Shift/Ctrl are deciding what happens with the target location (insert or overwrite).

Every operation works inside the same panel and between the panels.

Blocks moving is way toooooo complicated to code.
See, every row in the list has 3 objects - index, short name and file reference.
For every operation I must take care of the right order of moving/changing these, and for every operation it is another order.
If we add block selection, I will get lost in so much and complicated code because at moving a block, after manipulating the first file, all other references need to be updated with the new situation (if you move a block in the same panel).

btw. as I wrote this reply, I just realized that a file can be copied/moved just to a lesser position, but not to a greater position... back to the lab...

I agree, but the settings are stored inside a wrong directory. You probably do not use the app PSS Revive (another app of mine, patch editor for Yamaha PSS-480, PSS-580, PSS-680 and PSS-780).
I've corrected it to store the settings into MiniDexedCC directory. I do not want to create a new directory for the Performance Manager. If you use the Performance Manager, there is a great probability that you also use MiniDexedCC, that's why I'll store the settings there.

Back to the bugs - I'got some corrected, but there appeared new bugs somewhere else... It'll take some time...

The Performances I sorted out are in the B-Side folder. Most of the time I then improved the performance and copied the old one into the B-Side folder. I could have just deleted them but I copied them to a separate folder in case anyone actually worked with them. New users will not miss the sounds in the B-side folder. Maybe I should rename the folder to "Trash".

The sounds are coming out of his computer... not from a big PC with expensive DAW program, but still, the RPi is a computer ;)

And yes, these FM patches are masterpieces. I experimented earlier with a Dexed on a PC, there is a lot of good patches for this, but these are on the another level. One can be fooled that this sound goes from a sampler or an analog synth

The bass sound no longer has any hard limits and slowly gets quieter from C2 onwards. This makes the sound more versatile.

MDX_Vault - I made a big update.
Important - some directories and files are moved around, some files are deleted (duplicates), and performance numbering is changed.

If you need to change the numbering, MDX_PerfConv got a function for this:
MDX_PerfConv -n 100 -r my_dir_with_perfs
where -n 100 sets the first number to be used in renumbering

After a long journey of tweaking and experimenting, I’ve finally dialed in the right frequency balance to recreate the warm, expressive sound of a classic Rhodes piano.

“BananenMark I” is heavily inspired by the iconic E. Piano 1 patch from the Roland RD-1000 / MKS-20. It’s not just a static sound — this performance is highly dynamic and responds beautifully to your playing, whether you're comping softly or digging in with more intensity.

To achieve that classic chorus-like depth, the patch is layered across four tones. But even as a single patch (DX7) routed through an external effects unit, it holds up surprisingly well and retains its character.

It has already become one of my personal favorites, and I’m excited to finally share it with you.
