For RPi 4 I recommend a massive heatsink if it will work without a fan, or heatsink + fan. Without proper cooling it gets hot. I am using the same hardware to run Mini JV-880 emulator and MiniDexed. The JV cannot work without a fan while the MiniDexed can - but unlike the RPi3 which is totally fine with a small heatsink only, the 4 requires cooling (and also stronger power adapter). |
