Describe the bug

while installing the dependencies using the ▪ $./scripts/pi-setup/auto-install.sh , the execution completes with below error.

Looking at the failure trace, this looks like a filesystem ownership/permission issue on the cloned repo.

Likely root cause: The repo was cloned/extracted as a different user (e.g. sudo git clone), so /home/ubuntu/certification-tool is owned by root. When auto-install.sh runs as the ubuntu user, it cannot write logs/ or create .env. Once .env isn’t created, install-default-env.sh is effectively a no-op, and docker compose then fails with TRAEFIK_TAG: Variable not set. The verify_return_code: command not found line is a secondary effect from the cascading failure path.

Can you try:

sudo chown -R ubuntu:ubuntu /home/ubuntu/certification-tool
cd /home/ubuntu/certification-tool
./scripts/install-default-env.sh
./scripts/pi-setup/auto-install.sh

Hi @UEIRAJU — did the chown workaround unblock you? If yes, I'd like to harden auto-install.sh so that future users hit a clear error instead of the cascading docker/TRAEFIK_TAG/.env failures.
