Editing commands don't work for lines that wrap

For a long command like get pod --user=minikube --server=https://192.168.99.100:8443 --certificate-authority=/home/jim/.minikube/ca.crt that may wrap to a second line if recalled from history, for example, typing Ctrl-a to move to the beginning of the command will move to the start of the 2nd line. From there, trying Ctrl-b only echoes the full command again.
